About Annie Baugher

I am so glad you stopped by to check out my portfolio. Before you dive in, I wanted to tell you a little bit about myself.
I was born and raised in a small farming community in Central Illinois. There I graduated high school and moved onto college at Bradley University in Peoria, IL. At Bradley I played 4 years on the university's volleyball team. I graduated in May of 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. After graduation I completed 3 years of teaching 1st grade in Illinois. In the midst of teaching I married my husband, Lucas. We do not have any children, but we do have two beautiful fur babies, Josie and Kevin. My husband Lucas is in the Navy and is the reason why we landed so happily here in Virginia Beach. I taught for 4 years in Virginia Beach City Public Schools. The first year was as a long-term substitute teacher in 1st grade. I then gained a full-time position at John B. Dey Elementary where I taught 1st grade for 3 years. Most recently, I have graduated from Regent University with a Masters in School Counseling. I completed my practicum at a Oyster Point Academy (TDT). My internships were completed within VBCPS at John B Dey Elementary and Cox High School.
